Game background

 If you scream, start over. Don’t Scream is an Unreal Engine 5 short-form horror experience inspired by camcorder footage from the 1990s. It is made by two independent developers. The challenge is simple: explore the mysterious Pineview Forest for 18 minutes without screaming.

 Sounds simple, right? But there's a problem. Time just moves by as you move, and you never know what horrors may arise. You have to calibrate your microphone in the game so that every whimper, jump, and even slight squeak registers as a scream, adding to the challenge. There are dozens of dynamic fears, making each playthrough a unique experience.

 This is the perfect game to freak out your friends and family. Our lead playtester (who is also my wife) is currently recovering in the clinic.
